CEO and Managing Director
Rajiv was a founding employee of the Company and served as its Chief of Business Operations from inception to June 2012, during which time he played a pivotal role in setting up the company and driving its business and strategy. After a short stint away, Rajiv returned to Advinus as COO and subsequently was appointed as the company’s CEO. Rajiv Malik is now CEO and Managing Director of Eurofins Advinus.
Rajiv has held several senior and leadership positions with leading companies in India and has diverse working experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Contract Research and IT sectors. He has over 28 years of experience in managing business operations particularly in start-ups and turnaround environments. Just prior to re-joining Advinus, Rajiv served as Executive Vice President at Intas Pharmaceuticals Limited, where he was responsible for the International Business of Intas for all markets other than US and Europe. He also led the biosimilar and other biologics business of Intas as well as its corporate business development and licensing portfolio.
Rajiv holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the US and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
Vikram K. Ramanathan, Ph.D.
Chief Operating Officer, BioPharma
Dr. Vikram K. Ramanathan is the Chief of Technical Operations at Advinus. A founding employee of Advinus from 2005, he played a pivotal role in setting up its DMPK department and served the company for about eight years. In addition to his role as Head of DMPK and Clinical Pharmacology, he also led the preclinical and clinical development of various NCEs. After a short stint away, he re-joined the Company in 2015.
Vikram obtained his PhD from the Pharmaceutical Chemistry graduate program (Pharmaceutics pathway), School of Pharmacy at the University of California at San Francisco under the guidance of Dr. Kathleen M. Giacomini in whose laboratory he studied epithelial neurotransmitter transporters and their role in pharmacokinetics and disposition. He subsequently did a postdoctoral fellowship in Dr. Zach W. Hall’s laboratory at the NIH, Bethesda, where he used cellular and molecular techniques to study the cellular trafficking and expression of the muscarinic acetylcholine receptor.
Vikram has 22 years of pharma industry experience in drug discovery and development, in both R&D and CRO settings, in the US and India. He started his career at SmithKline Beecham/GlaxoSmithKline in the Philadelphia area where he spent several years before returning to India to set up and head the Discovery DMPK department at Ranbaxy Research Laboratories in Gurgaon. Prior to re-joining Advinus, he was Vice President, DMPK and Bioanalysis at Cadila Healthcare Ltd. where he supported the development of NCEs, biologicals and generic drugs.
Amith G Yeshwanth
Amith G Yeshwanth is the CFO of Eurofins Advinus. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is also a qualified Cost Accountant and Certified Information System Auditor. Amith was with Advinus during its start-up phase as the Head-Finance and then joined ICICI Ventures as Senior Vice President before re-joining Advinus in early 2016.
Amith has held several senior and leadership positions with leading companies in India like Ernst & Young, Ingersoll-Rand, ICICI Venture with diverse working experience in the Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Contract Research and Private Equity sectors. Amith joined Advinus with proven abilities to contribute towards improvement in operations, business growth and profit through analytical MIS and effective internal controls. Just prior to re-joining Advinus, he was with ICICI Venture Funds Management Company, a subsidiary of ICICI Bank, as Senior Vice President-Finance overseeing the funds and SPV’s managed by the ICICI Venture, including accounting, treasury and taxation.
VP & BU Head, Agrosciences Services
Sivaram has 30+ years of experience in the Industry with competencies across Research & Development, Manufacturing and Business Development functions with proficiency in the Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and Fine Chemical industries. In his last stint with Syngene, he has led global business development efforts for small molecules.
Sivaram is a Chemical Engineer by qualification, and holds Master Degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He also holds Advanced Management Performance certification from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore/Esade Business School, Barcelona. Prior to Syngene International, he was working with Advinus Therapeutics & Rallis India Limited.
