Dr. Rashmi Barbhaiya
CEO and Managing Director
Dr. Barbhaiya is an internationally reputed Pharma executive having extensive global experience in handling diverse aspects of drug discovery and development. He has held several prestigious positions in leading pharmaceutical companies and brings along an impeccable history in R&D operations and a successful background in business development and deal making. Past offices held by Dr. Barbhaiya include President of Research and Development, Ranbaxy Research Laboratories, New Delhi, India and Vice President in the Pharmaceutical Research Institute, Bristol-Meyers Squibb. In his 21 years with BMS and about 2 years with Ranbaxy, Dr. Barbhaiya has been instrumental in discovery and development of numerous new drugs and drug delivery products. Over his career, Dr. Barbhaiya has authored numerous publications (about 150) covering a broad range of therapeutic areas. He obtained his PhD degree in Clinical Pharmacology from the St. Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College, University of London and combined his education through post-doctoral training at the University of Florida and University of Wisconsin. Dr. Kasim Mookhtiar

Dr. Mookhtiar has spent many years in the pharmaceutical industry and has held key scientific positions in his earlier assignments. Dr. Mookhtiar spent more than a decade at Bristol-Myers Squibb before he joined Ranbaxy Laboratories. Before Ranbaxy he was part of the Metabolic Diseases Drug Discovery group at the Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical research Institute of Princeton, NJ, USA, wherein he pioneered the Diabetes and Obesity programs. Prior to joining Advinus, Dr. Mookhtiar was Vice President, New Drug Discovery Research, at Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited, where he led a team of over 200 scientists from multiple disciplines. Dr. Nimish Vachharajani
SVP and Head, Pharmaceuticals and Agrochemical Development
Dr. Vachharajani has over 18 years of pharma drug development experience including 13 years with BMS in the US and has published over 40 scientific and review articles in various peer-reviewed journals. Prior to joining Advinus, he was with Bristol-Myers Squibb in Princeton, NJ, USA. During his tenure with Bristol-Myers Squibb, he worked in many therapeutic areas including metabolic diseases, neuroscience, and cardiovascular. Dr. Vachharajani also led the Diabetes Early Development Team at Bristol-Myers Squibb and was responsible for developing strategies and plans for the pre-clinical and early clinical development (up to Phase IIB) of the entire portfolio of drug candidates for the diabetes franchise. Mr. Rajiv Malik
SVP and Head, Business Operations
Mr. Malik has over 20 years of experience in managing business operations including for the last 9 years in the Pharmaceutical R&D and Contract Research Industries. Prior to joining Advinus, he has held several senior positions with top companies in India and has varied experience of working with Pharmaceutical, Biotech, FMCG and IT sectors. Rajiv has a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Drexel University, Philadelphia, U.S. At Advinus, Rajiv is responsible for all commercial functions and most non-scientific functions, including Business Development, Finance, Purchase, IT etc. SVP and Head, Business Operations

Mr. Thomas Putti
VP and Head, Human Resources
A senior HR professional backed by 2 decades of industrial experience, Thomas Putti brings with him the expertise of creating HR culture and environment conducive for Innovation R & D in the pharmaceutical space. He has rich experience in designing and implementing modern people practices & policies to make an organization a preferred employer destination for scientists. Prior to joining Advinus, he has worked in reputed Indian organizations such Birla group, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Bharti, and Jubilant. Thomas has Master’s degree in HRM from Loyola College, Chennai. At Advinus, Thomas is responsible for the Human Resources, Facilities & Service functions. Dr. Natesan Settiagounder
VP and Head, Corporate Quality Assurance
Dr. Natesan Settiagounder has over 30 years of Research & Development experience, including over 19 years of pre-clinical regulatory studies in compliance with the principles of GLP, covering OECD GLP, FDA GLP and EPA GLP. A certified Quality Assurance Professional (SQA, USA) as well as a certified auditor for Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM), which is based on Malcolm Baldrige National Quality System. He is currently responsible for quality assurance functions in GLP and GMP areas, as well as for driving the TBEM in the company. His areas of expertise are GLP studies,,primarily in analytical areas covering physical-chemical studies, pre-clinical safety assessment, E-fate, residues and product characterization for several clients world-wide, as well as cGMP quality system for production and supply of materials for early stage clinical trials. During his R&D work in Rallis Research Centre, he was additionally responsible for development and registration of several multimicronutrient and specialty fertilizer formulations for important crops in various states in India. He was responsible for development and registration of the first calcium fertilizer in India, in collaboration with one of the world's largest fertilizer companies in Norway. He served as a technical committee member from the Industry in several State Fertilizer Committees in India. His book on "Compendium on Multimicronutrients - Crop Response and Industry" was used primarily for promoting balanced multimicronutrient fertilizers and registration of several formulations under the Fertilizer Control Order of Govt. of India. Prior to joining Rallis, he had 11 years of basic research experience on tea. He published over 65 articles in national and international journals/books, including a book. He obtained his Ph. D from Indian Institute of Science. He is also the Founder President of the Indian Chapter of the Society of Quality Assurance, and works closely with the SQA organization in USA. He has extensive experience in facing several GLP audits by the Monitoring Authorities of OECD countries, Indian National GLP Compliance Monitoring Authority, and several sponsors world wide. Also, coordinated and facilitated GLP and GMP audits by several clients of pharma, agrochemical and other industries from USA, Europe and other regions.
